The current IoT landscape has devices with countless protocols, platforms and silos, which leads to IoT interoperability issues.
Alumnus’ client sought to build a platform from scratch to enable humans, smart devices and services to interact with each other in natural language, in order to resolve that interoperability. This was seen as a critical way for industry to realise business value from their IoT investments.
Alumnus helped develop the framework for natural language Interfaces to provide true “any-to-any” communication between all these entities.
This Framework facilitates quick creation of a Natural Language Understanding unit (NLU) for a device to translate Natural Language to the devices’ command structure. The NLU and Dialogue Management (DM) Units were also developed.
